Mental Health and Wellbeing
The subject of mental health and well being is one of our curriculum drivers; within our mission statement and within our vision and values. It is taught explicitly, but is also woven through the daily life of school.
We are committed to promoting positive mental health amongst our community and supporting those who may be struggling with their mental health.

We also have 60 children from Years 5 and 6 who are our Mental Health Champions. These children have all received full training from a mental health in schools company and, on a rota basis, provide support to children at break and lunchtimes on the playground.

Staff wellbeing is vital. Staff are our greatest resource and as such, they too must be cared for and nurtured. Following ongoing consultation with staff, we developed 3 policies all aimed at ensuring that we promote work-life balance, develop a team approach to school, encourage staff to undertake CPD in a variety of ways and ensure that all staff feel valued.
