Outdoor Learning

Outdoor Learning is taught to all pupils at John Gulson School on a weekly basis. Following the WILD Passport Programme, the children are taught the five core topics of Outdoor Learning: Fire, Nature, Rope, Shelter and Woodcraft. 

Our Outdoor Learning lessons area delivered by Mr Nash who is in the process of obtaining a Level 5 Diploma in Outdoor Learning. Each lesson delivered, aims to teach the children valuable life-skills in the outdoors which they can apply in a wider context. 

Each pupil has their own WILD Passport curriculum booklet to show their personal progression throughout the academic year and eventually obtain a WILD Passport certificate.
