As we prepare to emerge from the second lockdown, following an extremely difficult year where many have lost jobs and are struggling to cope financially, I want to share with you how we are hoping to support our families who may be in need this Christmas and ask for your help and support.
Over the next three weeks, we are asking for donations of non-perishable foods (tinned goods, long-life milk, cereal, lentils, chickpeas, rice, squash, pot noodles etc) to be sent in via your children from Tuesday 24th November 2020. We are also asking for donations of small gifts that can be given to children who otherwise would not receive gifts this year.
The donations to the John Gulson Primary School food bank can be made up to Friday 11th December 2020. We will store them safely, according to Covid-19 risk assessments.

From Monday 14th December 2020, we will then provide our school families who may be struggling financially, with a hamper to help see them through the two week holiday and enable them to have quality time together without the worry of where the next meal is coming from.
If you know of a school family who is struggling at the moment, please do email me at:
One of the many wonderful things about John Gulson is the inclusive community spirit and so I want to thank you in advance for your kindness, generosity, care and support for our school community.

With kind regards
Ms V Sumner
