The children had a wonderful day today celebrating No Pens Wednesday. The focus of our day was to improve our speaking and listening skills, in particular learning new vocabulary.
Everyone came dressed as their favourite words, which they shared in a special assembly where prizes were given to the best or most creative outfits. The children then spent the rest of the day taking part in exciting activities without putting any pen to paper! Some of the exciting activities included sign-language spelling, poetry performances, outdoor maths investigations and even experiencing what it was like to be a child evacuated in World War 2. Later in the day the children had a chance to take part in a show and tell activity where they shared a special item, photo or memory from home.
We would like to thank all of the parents and children for putting in such a fantastic effort into creating your costumes and bringing in special items from home to share with everybody. Your continued support is much appreciated.
Keep your eye out for photo updates!
