19 children from year 5 and 6 went on a trip to Dol-Y- Moch from 1st February – 5th February. We really enjoyed learning about the environment in Wales and how to be independent. During our trip around Wales, we took part in activities such as: orienteering, castle exploring, canoeing, mountain biking and slate mine exploring (we had to climb the mountains to get there). Despite all the hard work we did, we got many treats – we went to the beach and had ice-cream from the best shop in Wales. We loved our trip and would like to say thank you to Mr Watson and Miss McElvenny for supporting us and also soaking us wet with the hose pipe (José). The three main rules we had to follow were respect, responsibility and resilience, which we all successfully achieved.
