As part of Y5 learning about WW2, the children visited Coventry Cathedral, Herbert Art Gallery & Museum as well as the newly refurbished Transport Museum to look at the impact on Coventry during WW2.

Whilst at the Cathedral, the children sketched different parts of the building. At the Transport Museum the children experienced a simulation of the Blitz and at Gallery the children were able to go inside a replica of an Anderson shelter!

The children learnt a lot from the trip and what the City of Coventry went through during WW2 to take back to the classroom.
