Children across the school were celebrating World Book Day in style on Thursday 6th March, dressed as their favourite book characters.

As part of the celebrations Illustrator and Author Mark Marshall visited the school and inspired Year 5 and 6 to become illustrators for the day, working with them to produce their very own story boards.

Children from the Nursery and Reception classes thoroughly enjoyed listening to the unique stories of Carol Graham who brought her stories to life!

The day was topped off by a tense battle for the best dressed pupils and staff, with winners including James Bond, Robin Hood, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and Spiderman. Pupils walked away with National Book Vouchers to help encourage a lifelong passion for reading.

We would like to thank both parents and children for making such a fantastic effort with their costumes, everybody looked great!
