Science week in Nursery
This week is science week. In the nursery we have been having lots of fun. We have explored the ‘sticky’ properties of magnets, looked closely at objects through the magnifying glass and explored colour and light through mixing activities and with our new light panel. We have also explored what happens to ice as it melts. Here are some of the activities we enjoyed.

A surprise for the mum’s from 1SA!
To all the mothers – you truly are the Number 1 for us!
Syria Charity Collection
Yesterday, Mr Wahid from the Human Aid Charity came to pick up the clothes, books and gifts that many of you had so kindly donated. He was very pleased with the collection and a team of year 4 pupils helped him load the van. The goods will be on their way to Syria very soon and Mr Wahid has promised to let us have a video of the goods when they arrive in Syria. Check out the Human Aid website at www.human-aid.org to find out about their work.
A big thank you to all those parents and friends that donated. The collection has now finished.
John Gulson versus the MinorTaur
In February, a group of year 5 and 6 pupils went to Plas Dol-y-Moch Outdoor Education Centre in Snowdonia. Before the trip they had been learning cycling skills on our new fleet of bikes with Mr Watson. This meant they were proficient enough to take on the Minortaur Blue trail at the Coed-y-Brenin Forest Park.
The children did very well and thoroughly enjoyed their experience of a real mountain bike trail. Hopefully one day they will return to take on a red trail.
Here is the successful team – exhausted but happy!
