Yet another away win in the Harry Shaw cup

Our team came home victorious on Friday 7 December after beating Christ The King Primary in a very good match.

It was a very cold afternoon, but our team was on fire and played a great game; the passing was fantastic and we produced lots of chances throughout the match.

Christ The King has a strong team and theyhave  won so many competitions before, but we played well and deserved the win to get one step closer to the final.

The match ended 3-2, Owais, Mohammed  and Hanibal scored our goals, our next game will be away to Allesley Primary in January 2013, watch this space!!

Winners of the cluster football cup and Hanibal named ‘Man of the Tournament’

On Wednesday 28 November we deservedly won the Cluster Football Cup organised by Sidney Stringer Academy after beating all the other 3 teams.

We had a very good start in the first match and won 5 – 1 against Stanton Bridge Primary. The second match was an easy one against Southfield Primary ending 12 – 0 with Hanibal scoring a superb goal with an overhead kick.

Then came the final and the deciding match against Frederick Bird Primary with both teams on 6 points each and needing a win to gain the Cup. It was a very close and competitive 20 minutes, with our team dominating most of it – the better team won and we did it after beating the cup holders 2 – 0 to retain the Cup which we won 2 years ago.

Hanibal was awarded Man Of The Tournament and he also was the top Scorer with a total of 6 goals.

Team: Owais(C), Nasser, Jawed, Yahya, Amaan, Saif, Aqib, Esa, M Yasin, Hanibal, Anes.

Great match and well deserved point away.

On Friday 23 November, we played our fourth game in the City League away to Manor Park school, they were the strongest team we met so far.

Very competitive and well organised team, but we were equal to them and missed few chances to score. both Goal-Keepers made great saves, and were the reason the game ended in 0 – 0 draw.

We came back with a precious point to be 10 points in total from 3 great wins and a draw.
