Mountain Day!!!

Today I really enjoyed myself because we went to the MOUNTAIN! The best part of the day for me was when we were at the top of the mountain. I liked this part of the day because the view was stunning. I could see a bit of Mount Snowdon which was a treat. The way down was also a lot of fun because we went at a fast but safe pace which gave me an adrenalin rush.

In the evening we did the night line which was scary but fun. I thought it was fun because we had to work as a team and remember the objects we found. We also worked as a team. In our team was me (Yaqoub), Mustafa, Ayesha and Atfa. I enjoyed working with this amazing team.

Overall I would rate my day ten out of ten. IT WAS GREAT DAY!!!

Wild ones

The Dol y Moch children attempted their first adventure. The children have orienteered around the beautiful Lake Mary (Llyn Mair). The journey went around the woods to find marker points hidden around the woods. There were beautiful streams, waterfalls and ponds. On the second journey of the day was to the pebble beach at Criccieth. We learned about coastal erosion and how it affected the cliff. If you look at the cliff about three quarters had been demolished.

There were massive rocks scattered around like bugs so you can see the cliffs have been washed out by enormous waves. After a while we began to see rickrack which is basically a pile of rocks to block waves from causing destruction. After that we had an ice cream and at night went to the labyrinth ………It was a great, wild day!!
