Great match and well deserved point away.

On Friday 23 November, we played our fourth game in the City League away to Manor Park school, they were the strongest team we met so far.

Very competitive and well organised team, but we were equal to them and missed few chances to score. both Goal-Keepers made great saves, and were the reason the game ended in 0 – 0 draw.

We came back with a precious point to be 10 points in total from 3 great wins and a draw.

Football: John Gulson vs Moat House

Moat House was a great school to play because they were very competitive and had good sportsmanship. Our old friend Imbrihama played and was their best player. We won 12-1 with goals from:
Yaq – 4
Mo Yasin – 3
Owais P – 2
Jawed – 1
Hani – 1
Anes – 1

As a team we played very good football with all players working hard as team.
They may of scored 1 more goal if it wasn’t for Nasa making a world class save.

Football: John Gulson vs Eastern Green

The match between John Gulson and Eastern Green was a very exciting match and the final score was 11-1 to john Gulson.

The goalscorers were Yaqoub-4, Muhammad-4, Ares-1, Hanibal-1 and Owais-1. They were a great school to play and we are hoping we can play them again.

Year 3 and 4 Quad Olympics

Recently, year 3/4 competed in a ‘Quad Olympics’ at Sidney Stringer against 3 other schools.  They had to throw a howler vortex ball (like a whistling javelin), run a 50m and 400m race, and do long jump.

Although we did not win, the whole team were very sporting and upheld all the Olympic values.  Well done to them all.

Year 5–Warwick Castle Visit

Year 5 had a fantastic time on Tuesday visiting Warwick Castle. We climbed ramparts, learnt about the history of the Castle, saw peacocks displaying their feathers, watched eagles fly and even saw a trebuchet launch a rock at 150MPH!
